two of the best years ever!

First and most important, Kyle and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary today. These past 2 years have flown by and have been filled with blessings. Kyle asked me what my favorite things from the past two years have been and no shock they are in no particular order: Ryder, moving back to Texas, honeymoon to Costa Rica, Kyle graduating and having great jobs. Life is crazy at times and I'm so thankful I have my best friend to take that ride with me. Since Ryder isn't a fan of being away from me at night, MeMe watched Ryder at the office so Kyle and I could go eat a nice lunch together with no kid. It was wonderful but felt a bit odd not to have Ryder near. We went to Fernanados and had some amazing Latin food. We are also planning on going to see Jason Aldean at the rodeo in March to celebrate. We have been spending quite a lot of time over at my folk's house this past month while Kyle was fixing his truck. Thankfully, the yellow beast rides again! It wasn't so bad having just one car between us, but it is nice having it back.
Ryder is the cutest hood ornament EVER! He really is one happy kid. This weekend the cold came back and Ryder was able to put on his bear suit again...ok ok...I was so excited to get him back into it. He's sitting up pretty good on his own and I thought it would make for a cute photo.
In preparation for the Houston Rodeo, Kyle got me some boots for my 29th birthday as an early present. When we were in Cavendars, we saw some little boots for Ryder and of course, we had to get them. The "boots" pictures were taken by my wonderful mama, BUT it was totally my idea...hey the glory goes to the photographer and I can deal with it.
Everyone always asks us "is he always this happy?" and Kyle and I are so blessed to answer truthfully, "yep!". He does have his moments at night that all he wants is his mama but he is the happiest little boy. God has blessed us!
He might say "OHHHHH MOM, why did you post this?" when he's older but for now, he can't talk and I think it's adorable!
Wiped out.
The weekend before last, Ryder went fishing at MeMe & PawPaw's house. The only thing he caught were sunrays; he enjoyed the time outside and loved the fishing line.
Ryder is still amazies us every day. He is doing such a great job at sitting up but doesn't have it quite down yet. Within this past week, he figured out we have dogs and cats. He's learning how to pet the animals. It is so great to see them be so patient with him and I'm sure they love the extra attention. Ryder is not a fan of the word "roar" spoken calmly or loudly...he gets the biggest pouty face and usually starts to huff and puff and perhaps cry. It cracks Kyle and I up so poor kid, we say it to him often but then make him laugh so it's all good.

I'm every excited to see friends this weekend! We are celebrating birthdays (mine, 29...yikes) and engagements. I love spending time with friends.
