fun fun and more fun

Ryder is nearing 20 months and is quite the character. He loves the water hose; any time he sees it he signs more, says "mo mo" and he gets to watering. He thinks it's quite funny to spray me. He also likes to say "pow pow" as he's holding the hose nozzle. I was shocked that he knew how to imitate a gun until I realized we watch a lot of Discovery Channel and there's a lot of guns on that channel...not violent but none the less.
And I'm afraid to say it but the terrible twos have already started. He is not a happy camper when he doesn't get his way (go figure my toddler thinks he's the center of the universe). He'll throw himself down on the floor or hit whatever object is close to him. Speaking of hitting what's ever close, he's hit me in the face (not in anger but in frustration) so I scowled at him, shook my finger at him saying "no" and popped him on the hand. The next time he hit me in the face before I could discipline him he shook his finger at me, said "no" and popped his own hand. Goodness it was so hard not to burst out laughing. All in all he has his moments but he's still a wonderful kids and Kyle and I are so blessed.
Ryder is at that age when he can keep himself busy playing doing almost anything. Yesterday, Uncle Logan put lots of little label stickers on him and Ry had fun peeling them off and putting them on others. Prior to this activity Ryder had fun playing in the water at work...too bad the water was located in the toilet bowl....ugh.

Other fun things...when the dogs bark Ryder bangs on the back door and says "NO!" He's called Uncle Logan "ga ga" and refereed to Uncle Bridger as "ba ba". He's doing much better at pointing stuff out, using more words and understanding what we are telling him. The house is slowing getting more sticky as he gets older. His newest fun thing is to run full speed and throw himself down into 2 giant oversized floor pillows. He thinks its the funnest game ever. I will have to post a video soon.

I cannot believe he'll be 2 in just 4 months...he just turned one. He's defiantly growing up way too quickly. I sure do love that little man.
In other news, Kyle's truck is nearly running again. He's got the rebuilt engine and transmission in and just needs a few more things to be finished. This past weekend, I went to San Antonio for my friend, HH's, bachelorette party. Oh my goodness it was so much fun but I needed some time to recover from the late night. I'm looking forward to her wedding and my old college roomie's wedding in the next few months.
