The weekend...

Thursday afternoon, Kyle, Pam, Karen, Kelli, Dot, Tyler, Justin, Jordan and I went up to Orlando to go to Islands of Adventure and Universal. SO MUCH FUN! We got in too late to go to the parks that day so we grabbed a bite to eat on the City Walk; everyone called it a night but Kyle and I went to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and enjoyed (you guessed it) a margarita. It was really nice staying at the Royal Pacific because you could walk to all the fun or ride the boat. Bright and early Friday morning we were on our way. I was SO excited considering this was in fact my FIRST time to this wonderful place. We spend 9 hours riding every ride (thank you fast pass!). By the time the trip was over I started losing my voice. My favorite rides included the Hulk, Shrek 4-D and Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges. So much fun..I can't wait for my next visit.

Yes I was a tourist and took tons of pictures!

Saturday I spent all day at Mill's Pond for a softball tournament to raise money for the officer who was shot a few months back, Maury Hernandez. The rain came, but that didn't keep us down. About 10 people, 6 bat bags, 6 chairs, 2 strollers and a puppy crammed into a tent to keep dry...when the rains stopped we stayed all cozy under the tent sharing laughs. GOOD TIMES.

My little brother turned 20 Sunday and I felt very old. He is growing up so fast!

This weekend wasn't all rainbows and sprinkles, I got a call from my mom on Sunday; Marcia, a woman I have know since I was very small passed away on Saturday night. She had a double lung and heart transplant about 8 years ago. Here's her story. Her family, friends and husband are all comforted knowing we will see her again in Heaven. She was a wonderful woman, was very loved and will be missed.
