Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth. ~The Bump
I definitely think my baby bump is showing and Kyle and my family both agree! It's super fun but at the same time I want to let everyone know I'm pregnant and not just getting fat. Silly but very true. So yesterday I finally got the guts to tell everyone at work, starting with my bosses. I have no idea why I was so nervous about it because they were totally cool with it and very excited for me. Silly Sarah. Now I don't have to hide my belly woohoo!
I definitely am feeling the 2nd trimester "honeymoon" I heard about. The sickness is pretty much gone and I feel like I've gotten back a bit of my energy. BUT it also seems I've been dealt a big dose of crazy pregnancy hormones and a side of headaches so to say I'm back to feeling normal is not a true statement. I'm learning that all the yummy foods I crave hurt my belly so I try to stay away and I've actually been a lot more active, going to the gym and walking the dogs.
Kyle and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in NOLA. We stayed with my friend Deanna and her hubby, Brent. We got in on Friday in enough time to see the last Mardi Gras parade of the night. In all we saw 6 parades and now are the proud owners of bags of beads. There was a lot of people watching to do and I loved it. We mostly stayed in the Garden District aka beautiful old houses and didn't go to the Quarter so needless to say it was a very family friendly event (not at all what most people think of MG) Kyle did fall in love with a little kitty named Bella and she loved him right back. I will be sure to post pictures.
Other news...Kyle is officially not working at the bike shop anymore which means we have our weekends back!! WOOHOO! There's so many things I want to do before it gets hot and baby gets here and hopefully we'll have the time and funds to do it all. Kyle is now working for my dad's company 5 days a week, which helps us and him out. Win-win, gotta love it.
