Summer Time!

Wow, I got behind on my blog posts quickly. Let's see, if I can sum up these last weeks quickly. Had a blast at Astro's game, crawfish boil was tons of fun, we missed Kyle when he was in Singapore, spend lots of time in the pool (Ryder is a fish), it's HOT HOT HOT outside and Ryder loves going to see Rachel during the week. 


It's Texas and it's hot in the summer that's a given BUT I had no idea how much worse being pregnant this summer would be vs in 2009. Not only am I carrying a baby, I still carry Ryder and at times need to chase him around...this makes the summer EXTRA hot. Seriously looking forward to the fall weather already. 

We love hanging out at MeMe and PawPaw's house, mowing the lawn, picking veggies from the garden and relaxing. 

We've been watching our neighbor's goldendoodle these past few days. The dogs have REALLY loved a new friend. Aren't they cute!?!

Ryderisms: 
Deciphering Ryder words are fun...today walking out of church he was pointing out the "poo pile". We looked and it was a power plant. I want to remember moments like this forever.


Ryder walks into my room with a huge smile announcing he got me flowers - he also had a get well balloon clipped to his shirt. He excitedly handed them to me and I asked him did you get me a balloon? He said yes, but I cannot find it. We told him to look up and he was so excited saying oh I found it! Such a sweet boy. Cannot wait for this stomach bug to leave me alone. -- I was SUPER sick last Sunday/Monday/Tuesday with a stomach bug. 


And they say men don't notice things...at 29.5 weeks pregnant Ryder points at my tummy and says "oh that's big!" (First time to say something about it.) And I asked him what's in there. His answer "a dragon".

Ryder has continually been requesting to put on his seat belt...in the baby seat. He's become super interested in it this past week even though it's been in our room for over a month. 

On to the maternity stats.... 
How far along? 31 weeks & 3 days (60 days to go to EDD - 79% done) 
Total weight gain/loss: around 30ish I think. Could be more. 
Maternity clothes? Dresses are my best friend.  
Stretch marks? nothing new. 
Sleep: Sleeping decent...having troubles getting to sleep though.  
Best moment this week: Spending time with friends and family...kinda typical "best moment" these days.
Movement: Lots of shifting. It's like P2 can't get comfy, I feel his/her pain! 
Food cravings: Nothing really. 
Gender: Lately, girl. Could be because most the time Ryder says the baby is a girl or he wants a sister. BUT to be fair he thinks I have a baby dragon in my belly so take his opinion with a grain of salt. Also, I catch myself looking at baby girl clothes. When I was pregnant with Ryder I would get sad when I looked at them because I just knew I was having a boy. But then again maybe I look at girl clothes because I love to window shop and I know I don't need boy clothes. 
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks here and there. 
Belly Button in or out: neither. 
What I miss: The cool weather. 
What I am looking forward to: ATX vacation with the Hills. We have a cabin for 2 nights and a boat for the day...it should be fantastic. 
Weekly Wisdom: Bring your swimsuit to a get together around the pool.  
Milestones: Paid for the hospital! In two more months we will be a family of four. Crazy crazy.
