He's got the whole world in His hands...

I'm a worrier by nature...grandma was a worrier, mom is a worrier...I guess you can say it was passed down genetically, just ask anyone in my family about the "Grandel Panic". There's so many things to worry about these days (the economy, elections, war, buying a house one day, when to start a family, my job, Kyle's future job, being healthy, the list goes on). Often with all the worry, I can lose sight of what is really important, which is giving my life and all my worries to the Lord, being a good example to others as a Christ follower and ultimately leading others to Him.

God has a few things to say about stress and worry. It is very comforting to know He's on our side and He will give us everything we need.

Your father knows what you need before you ask him. So do not worry, saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:8b, 31-34

Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest.

Luke 12:25-26

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Philippians 4:6-8

I want to get back to being a child in Christ, fully relying on Him and knowing He's got the whole world in His hands...
