Baby P's Shower

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle. ~babycenter.com

How far along? 27 weeks = 3rd trimester
Total weight gain/loss: total weight gain is between 20 and 25 lbs
Maternity clothes? I love maternity dresses! I'm sad my medium t-shirts no longer fully cover the belly.
Stretch marks? nope, hopefully it stays that way but Baby P has a lot of growing to do in a little bit of time.
Sleep: Usually pretty good, bathroom trips and crazy dreams are ever increasing.
Best moment this week: Celebrating with family and friends at the baby shower.
Movement: I got an active one!
Food cravings: Spicy please... just some of the things I had this week...Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Enchiladas from Chuy's, Buffalo Chicken & Ranch wraps, Jalapeno Sausage from Rudy's, Pizza with Buffalo Sauce & Ranch, Spicy Chipolte Chicken Salad...
Gender: Oh goodness, who knows!
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? still in
What I miss: Sleeping the whole night with out taking a bathroom break.
What I am looking forward to: Making Baby P's quilt with my mama & the 3 day weekend.
Weekly Wisdom: Never forget all the sweet things people say about your pregnant body...they'll keep you smiling for weeks to come.
Milestones: 3RD TRIMESTER!!! Baby P's shower was this weekend and my oh my it was SO wonderful. Words truly can't express the gratitude I have for all my hostesses and for the guests that came to celebrate the Baby P. A few of my friends and I went to Sandy McGees for lunch before the shower...YUMMY! It was so much fun getting to catch up and hang out with all of them. Good laughs for sure. This cake was so tasty, I've been eating it all week long and have yet to get tired of it!
Everything was so pretty, the lilies have been opening up this week and filling our entire house with their beautiful smell. My shower hostesses are amazing! It felt so complete sharing in my family's joy with all these wonderful friends around me. (Picture is missing Lanna & Elise)
Soon to be Grandma P & MeMe
Baby P has everything he/she needs and then some!

After the shower, a few friends, Kyle, his folks and I went to my parent's house and enjoyed a great dinner. It was the best day ever! Of course, I was more than exhausted by 7pm...thanks Baby P!
Kyle was able to open a few gifts later on that night. It was an amazing day! In Baby P's room with all the loot. Our house is slowly being over taken by everything baby. So far it's only in 2 rooms of the house but I'm sure it will be everywhere in oh just about 3 months.

Sunday, after church and relaxing a bit, Kyle, his folks and I took the dogs to the park. Lets just say Cash LOVED the mud puddles and in true little boy fashion didn't miss a single one. The dogs really love the park, I need to take my camera with me the next time I go and get some good photos of them. The only crummy part is the park has no toilets so of course I chugged a Diet Dr. Pepper on the way there and had no place to go...live and learn.

It was great having Kyle's folks in for a visit. This will be the last time they spent with us and just Kyle and I. It was so cute, they were so excited to park in the Stork Parking at Babies' R Us. I'm sure I've said it in earlier posts, but they've been wanting grand kids for a good while and are more than thrilled to welcome Baby Pringle into their family come August.

Last night on my quick grocery shopping trip I spotted the most wonderful thing in the world, yes Caffeine Free Diet Dr. Pepper!!! Now when I want the sweet goodness with my dinner I can totally have it! Honestly it really is the little things in life that make it great!

Kyle and I are really looking forward to this 3 day weekend but not forgetting the great sacrifices made by so many soldiers....friends of mine and friends of Kyle's. Thank you Billy, thank you. You are gone but NEVER forgotten! "True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.” - Arthur Ashe
