Kyle moved his 68 Chevy into the garage to do some work on it so Ryder was happy to jump in and help daddy "fix" his truck. These boys spend hours upon hours in their garage doing whatever men/boys do in the garage. A few times when I've ventured out into the garage Ryder has told me to go back inside and lay down.
He tells us "Don't worry, I'll fix it." Kyle absolutely loves that Ryder is into this project and looks forward to the years ahead of them working on the truck. Such a great bonding activity. I can't believe we will be a family of four in just under 3.5 months; it's sometimes scary and sometimes exciting. It's just weird to think that I will love this little baby growing in my belly as much as I love Ryder. But after talking to my mom and friends with multiple kids, they all agree, your heart grows and you just have this overflowing love for all your kids. That part makes me really excited.
Something that has become evidently clear...Ryder knows where Kyle and I both excel these days. He loves to tackle and rough house with daddy and prefers me when it comes to snuggling.
On to the maternity stats....
How far along? 25 weeks & 1 day (104 days to go to EDD)
Total weight gain/loss: 25-30ish...probably closer to 30. booooo
Maternity clothes? Yup. Can no longer fit into most my small t-shirts and some mediums are getting pretty tight on the belly.
Stretch marks? nothing new...although sometimes when I sneeze it feels like I'm creating new ones. It's all in my head but they can hurt.
Sleep: Well I nap a lot during the weekend, mostly because Kyle rocks and watches Ryder so I can nap away.
Best moment this week: It's the little things...love spending time with family in the beautiful Texas Spring weather.
Movement: officially feeling when Baby P2 has the hiccups.
Food cravings: Almond butter and crackers.
Gender: This week, I'm leaning towards boy. I have a love/hate relationship with not knowing.
Labor Signs: negative.
Belly Button in or out: getting shallow :)
What I miss: Sitting on the couch and feeling comfortable.
What I am looking forward to: Being a family of four in just 3.5 months.
Weekly Wisdom: I need to stop worrying about my weight gain. My doctor said I'm doing fine and she sees the scale number after lunch when I'd like to think it's the highest.
Milestones: Ryder told us he wanted a sister...however, I think he was kinda tricked because he was asking us for a shake right before we asked if he wanted a brother or sister. And shake and sister both start with a S. (For those who don't speak Ryder, a "shake" is this yogurt drink he LOVES!) He does know there's a baby in my belly but he's not really concerned.
