At about 20 inches and five and a half pounds (but with about five more weeks to grow), most of your baby's growth over the next month or so before you meet will be in weight (with a gain of anywhere from one pound to several), not height (baby's pretty much reached the in utero limit in that department). Accordingly, fat continues to accumulate at a rapid pace these days (on baby, not just on your hips). Back in the middle of your pregnancy, your baby's weight was made up of only two percent fat; now at 35 weeks pregnant, that percentage has soared to closer to 15 percent (and will increase to 30 percent at term). Which means your baby's once skinny arms and legs are now quite plump…and irresistibly, squeezably soft.

How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 35ish...ok closer to 40 but let's not talk about it.
Maternity clothes? bringing back the belly band to help cover my ever growing tummy tum.
Stretch marks? blasted! they have arrived...not many and they are small but still!
Sleep: Enjoying it while I have it!
Best moment this week: Spending time with the folks, little bro & Kyle...oh and finishing Baby P's curtains.
Movement: Oh yea! Honestly this kid moves like you wouldn't believe.
Food cravings: Smoothie please.
Gender: either way this mommy & daddy will be smiling!
Labor Signs: not so much.
Belly Button in or out? As Kyle pointed out sometimes it's an outtie...but mostly it's flat.
What I miss: The house not feeling like a oven.
What I am looking forward to: Washing Baby P's clothes and the rest of the diapers. Ok I'm not "looking forward" to it but it needs to get done and it will make me feel better. Ok even better...getting my diet back on track and training hard again after Baby P arrives.
Weekly Wisdom: Can't think of anything right now...maybe later.
Milestones: I guess I could say first stretch marks even though I am less than thrilled about them. Not much new going on...spent the weekend at my parent's house and finally got to see Logan after maybe 6 weeks or so. All 4 dogs were there which was a mad house! Mom and I worked on Baby P's stuff...wet bags, curtains and picked out fabric for the back of the quilt. Kyle worked on his truck and rested. The poor guy isn't feeling very grand. He's still not better but he did go to the clinic and got some good medicine. He would have gotten SOC this last class but since he missed Monday, he was out of the running.
Kyle and I took the opportunity for mom to take some pictures of us after church on Sunday....we were matching (again). This next weekend or the next, mom will be taking my official maternity photos...not exactly sure what they will be like but I want something to remember my huge belly by...other than the stretch marks that I hope will go away!
Official count down - 24 more days of work & 35 more days until estimated due date...part of me wants that to be less only because it is sooooo hot. It takes until the sun goes down for a few hours for our living room to actually be comfortable. I'm not sure if that's pregnancy related or what but I don't remember it being so hot last year. Oh I did hear on the news that if summer ended yesterday, it would officially be the hottest summer since 1980...JOY!
Bridger turned 30 on Saturday! I can't believe my older bro is in his 30s! He'll be in town in just a month and I cannot wait to see him! Hopefully Baby P will arrive by the time he gets here or while he's here.
