22 weeks aka 5 months!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop. ~the bump
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily. ~babycenter.com

So I've gotten to the point in the pregnancy where thebump.com starts giving comparing Baby P to a fruit/veggie on a monthly basis vs a weekly basis. Therefore, I'm going to be using BabyCenter.com to fill in some gaps. This week I have both because I'm 5 months/22 weeks so there's an overlap.

It is really exciting to hear that our little one will be hitting 1 lb this week. I remember when Baby P was just a few cm long and weighed next to nothing but now...a pound. :o)
Kyle and I had a great weekend. Friday our friends Blake and Katie got married at the Safari Lodge. It was so wonderful to be able to experience that great moment with them. Plus it's always a blast anytime lots of our friends get together especially when the out of towners come back into town! I was so proud to make it through the whole reception....big things for this pregnant lady. I loved dancing with my husband on the same dance floor we shared our first dance. It was great to be back at the Safari Lodge.
Saturday, we slept in till nearly 11:30 then headed to my folk's house to celebrate my mom's birthday and Easter. We went to Texas Roadhouse (yummy) and then to the Saturday early service. Sunday, I wasn't feeling too well so I lounged around the house mostly watching tv and reading while Kyle worked super hard on the garage. He did a great job. I helped put some boxes away but mostly hung out.

It's been fun hearing people's guesses if Baby Pringle will be a boy or a girl. My first instinct was boy, but then I think girl...either way I would be so elated, but I just don't want to be wrong. After all the little one has been living inside me for 5 month and I'm the mama, I should know! But of course, in my true form, I am indecisive. Every time the baby kicks, I think boy all the way but then I think well...Baby P could be a girl...oh it's fun to not know.

And last, because I'm a super bargain shopper Kyle and I purchased a convertible car seat for Baby P after he/she grows out of the infant carrier. I found it at a really good price and we just couldn't pass it up after reading great review after great review, paired with the good safety ratings. I also purchased a thermometer that some of our friends recommended for Baby P for 1/2 off! The sale made an expensive purchase reasonable and I love reasonable.
How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 20ish give or take
Maternity clothes? oh yea!
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: Can't seem to get comfy...I toss and turn alot waking up Kyle. The carpal tunnel brace has helped my hand not fall asleep, which is very nice. Oh not to mention Saturday morning work up in the worst way, screaming in pain I couldn't get out that I had a horrible calf cramp, poor Kyle was so scared he thought it was the baby. My calf was like a ROCK. Ouch.
Best moment this week: Kyle feeling his baby move for the first time.
Movement: I feel a lot now and love it.
Food cravings: I love pickles and popcorn and lately tea. YUM!
Gender: Total toss up
Labor Signs: negative
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Having beverages at weddings, getting to go out on the boat and biking with Kyle
What I am looking forward to: More foot rubs from Kyle.
Weekly Wisdom: Stretch your calf muscles really well after a leg workout!
Milestones: As Deanna pointed out, I held the last newborn before I hold my own!!!
My first visit with Presley Kay. She's just over 3 weeks in this picture. She is sooo sweet and so tiny. I can't wait to hold my own.
