24 weeks!!

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. ~ babycenter.com

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: same ole same ole
Maternity clothes? God's gift to pregnant women!
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I think God is preparing me for life with a baby...sleep is not great.
Best moment this week: Kyle painting Baby P's room & getting fabric for Baby P's quilt.
Movement: Baby P loves to kick and punch me.
Food cravings: Sweets this week. :o)
Gender: Still leaning towards boy but would be SO happy with a girl
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: Walking the dogs without losing my breath.
What I am looking forward to: Spending the weekend with Kyle, my folks and going to see Alanna.
Weekly Wisdom: When you just can't agree, sometimes you need to buy both types of ice cream.
Milestones: Week 24 is usually considered the point of viability, meaning that if Baby P is born now, he/she has a chance for survival. They would, however, be in intensive care for many months. So stay put little one!

Our weekend in review....we spent Friday night at my folks house because mom and I had some fabric shopping to do. I'm so excited about Baby P's quilt! Mom and I will get to start on it after she gets back from her trip to Dallas. Saturday was a bit rainy (I think) and we were both feeling pretty lazy. Kyle played some video game with snipers and such...not sure which one but he was missing Stephen playing along with him. I slept in then did a bunch of research on cloth diapering. We then ran some errands (including getting paint for the baby's room) and Kyle made a yummy dinner. Sunday, we missed church (bad I know), cleaned the house, put up various pictures and wall hangings I had purchased from Hobby Lobby during the week then Kyle taped off Baby P's room. Much to my surprise after I woke up from a nap, Kyle had finished with the primer. The room is really taking shape. Here's a few pictures... Kyle typically does not like to paint but he was all smiles today! I'm so thankful he did all the work because I couldn't.
Some of the fabric with the wall paper border.
As it stands, the room reminds me of a taxi.
A glimpse of what it will look like...I can't wait!!
