another fun weekend!

Kyle and I got invite from Heather to the Astro's game on Friday. It was Kyle's first time to Minute Maid Park and let's just say he was impressed. (but who wouldn't be, that place is awesome.) The Astros ended up losing 2-1 in the 9th inning but it was still a fun night. The bad weather did kept the fireworks show from occurring because they didn't want to open the roof...boo. As we were leaving, Heather said sorry for the late notice on the baseball tickets and I told her, no worries for the next 4 months we can do late notice on things. Kyle and I have made it a point to enjoy our "freedom" while we have it. Saturday the rain rolled in late morning and didn't stop till the early evening, which made for a lazy and boring day. Kyle got up early to take my car into get new tires (2 tires & an alignment cost nearly as much as a car payment...boo!) I got to sleep in :o) After lunch I was laying in bed reading and the little one started kicking, it was the first time I was actually able to see my belly move as Baby P kicked and punched. SOOO cool. I ran down to the garage (Kyle's domain) to get him but Kyle was never able to see it...I'm sure he will soon. As you can see Kyle and I had a pool in the front back yard. That evening Kyle and I met up with some of our friends at Dave & Busters. I really stunk it up bowling...not going to mention my score but if we were golfing it would have been awesome! After some food and games we headed to Howl at the Moon, which is a dueling piano bar. You never realize how rowdy people are at bars until you go there 100% SOBER. I was pretty proud of myself, for 2 nights in a row I stayed out till after midnight! Woohoo party animal. :o) Ok, maybe not but still. Sunday, Kyle and I got up and super cleaned the house while the dogs played outside. It is the best feeling to have a clean home. After a trip to the grocery store, Kyle pointed out our massive pickle collection...I can't help it, pickles are heaven's sweet nectar to me these days. I can't seem to get enough. The newest pickle purchase was the Boar's Head Kosher Dills...oh my gosh they are AMAZING! Yes, I do get this excited about pickles...heck food these days.
After we got back from the store we took the dogs on a nice long walk around the neighborhood. Let's just say after playing outside all day and going on a walk, the dogs were just as exhausted as I was...which is very desirable for two 60lbs dogs.
I've been taking belly pictures once a week or so and here's the newest update...I have definitely grown. Thankfully most of it has just been in my belly and one other place and not all over. I'm sure working out still helps keep the baby weight stay in the right places. Although I have gained weight in my face (thanks water retention) I'm feeling really good about my pregnant body, which is a big deal considering I'm usually my #1 critic. Within these next 4 weeks Baby P will double in weight going from around 1lb to nearly 2lbs...when you think about it that is amazing. It took him/her nearly 22 weeks to get to a pound and now in just 4 he/she will gain another pound. I'm pretty sure from here on out Baby P will be packing on the lbs, which means I will too.
