By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama---never even heard of this) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth. ~babycenter.com
How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 32ish lbs
Maternity clothes? I mostly like dresses and skirts these days...actually wearing a non-maternity skirt today (makes me feel good)
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: The week was not off to a good start but getting better.
Best moment this week: Spending Father's Day at my folks house.
Movement: Lots still, no more jabs and kicks just shifting.
Food cravings: Hamburgers...I've had 3 this week...gotta love the leftovers.
Gender: still on the fence.
Labor Signs: nope...but braxton hicks are kicking in
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: Cold beers on hot summer days.
What I am looking forward to: Meeting my little one for the first time.
Weekly Wisdom: I few bites of ice cream can make the world a better place.
Milestones: Washed the first set of diapers and purchased the fabric for the cloth wipes & shopping cart cover.
Let's see, Kyle got SOC (again) this class. Not that he brags, because I ask, he's got the most pins out of everyone in the school right now. FYI- They give the Student of the Class a pin when they win. He won't be getting it this class because he'll be skipping a day when company is here. He's a little bummed but knows family time is important too. Florida family is coming in for just a day and a half and we want to spend as much time with them as possible.
We had a great weekend, Saturday Kyle went riding and then we went to our Child Birth Prep Class...poor Kyle didn't make it through the whole thing without feeling sick. I still think he can handle the actual labor & delivery even though he can't watch or hear about the whole birthing process. The hospital was really nice. I can't believe I'm less than 8 weeks away from my due date. WOWZAS!
Sunday, Baby P surprised Kyle via me with some Father's Day goodies. We spent most the day with my folk's going to church, eating yummy Swinging Door and hanging out at the house. A double gift to Kyle and my dad...Dad needed the lawn mowed so Kyle jumped on my dad's zero turn lawn mower and made everything pretty, which was a "chore" but not to Kyle. Then we all relaxed in the pool. It was so much fun...Kyle and I "taught" the dogs how to swim and let me tell you, Cash is a swimming fool. We couldn't keep him from swimming. Dakota has been swimming before but never in the pool so she was a bit cautious but then got into it. Needless to say, the dogs were exhausted (woohoo!) and so was I. I'll try to get some pictures this weekend.
As for me I have my good moments and bad moments...I think this heat (it's been over 100 for the last few days) is super draining and makes me feel not so good all the time. I really dread wearing pants these days and try to avoid it at all costs...I've pulled out some crazy outfits out of my closet but hey they keep me comfy.
For all of those counting down (ok maybe it's just me)...8 days until Florida family is in town, 37 more days of actual work (pending Baby P) & 55 more days until my estimated due date!!
P.S. I feel like there is so much Baby P prepping to do and SO little time....I gotta get on it!
