Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments. ~thebump.com
How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained around 25ish lbs thus far. Not really paying attention to the numbers anymore.
Maternity clothes? Maternity shirts are now fitting kinda small...that is they are showing the bottom of my belly...not all of them but some.
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: Usually pretty good, bathroom trips and crazy dreams are ever increasing <- remains the same. It's odd I get 8 hours of sleep at night but never do I feel "refreshed"...oh well.
Best moment this week: Same as last week, hanging out with friends and family. I can't get enough of them.
Movement: Seriously, this kid is so much like Kyle...never stops moving. (Joy!)
Food cravings: Still loving the buffalo sauce and peanut butter. YUM!
Gender: Gut says boy most the time but I'm indecisive really.
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? still in
What I miss: Since I went to Saint Arnold's Brewery this past weekend, I'm really missing tasty beer!
What I am looking forward to: This is silly but ordering laundry detergent to start washing all of Baby P's cloth diapers.
Weekly Wisdom: If you feel like you lost your get up and go, just wait until you hear the ice cream truck driving through your neighborhood...you'll find that boost of energy quite quickly!
Milestones: Passing the 1 hour diabetes test!
Kyle and I had a great weekend. After work on Friday, I headed to Cypress to pick up Gunnar. He was Holly's early birthday surprise gift from Logan. Oh my goodness, he is the cutest puppy ever and LOVES to snuggle. He's a 8 week old dapple miniature daschund. Adorable is putting it lightly. In the picture above, we were waiting for the ice cream man to drive through our neighborhood...he was still aways away.
From what I hear, Holly was soooo excited (given) and Logan was so proud that he pulled it off.
If it weren't for the fact that we have a baby on the way and 5 fur kids already, I'm sure Kyle and I would have no problem bringing one of Gunnar's brother's home.
Kyle and Logan couldn't stop laughing at me because of how quickly I jumped up from mid conversation in the baby's room to run outside to make sure I caught the ice cream truck. TOTALLY worth it, I enjoyed a delicious Oreo's Ice cream Bar. Of course, I ate mine a lot quicker than Logan and Kyle ate their tasty treats....next time I'm getting something that lasts longer. The ice cream lady said she liked my enthusiasm...I'm guessing that's because I was jumping up and down clapping as she drove up to our driveway. :o)
Saturday, Kyle and I went to Saint Arnold's Brewery to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. It was a lot of fun. Kyle actually enjoyed beer! As for me, I enjoyed some root beer and lots of water...there was no AC and perhaps 200+ people. It's a great deal though, you pay $5 and get a taster glass with 4 chips to fill up on your beer of choice. However, you can buy one of their pint glasses (and bring it back with you whenever) and they'll fill that one up. Plus you can bring in outside food...it's really a great time. BUT be warned...after drinking 4 beers or so you tend to not want to do much after...Kyle and I enjoyed a 2 hour nap when we got back home. Then we headed up to meet some friends for dinner.
Sunday, we took on the HUGE task of grooming Cash. This is the 4th time or so that we've taken this on but for some reason it just seemed extra long this time. About 45 minutes into clipping him we realized we needed a new blade or new clippers. So we headed to Petsmart and thankfully they had some clippers on sale. They were pretty expensive but still less than what it would have cost to get him clipped once by pros ($90!). After it was all said and done, Kyle and I spent 4 hours on him and our backs defiantly hurt the next day. Cash was such a champ though, he didn't start getting really restless until about 3.5 hours into it. He really digs his summer haircut.
Yesterday, the bee guys came out to our house because my mom and I noticed a few weeks ago that the bees were back. Since we've been living there, over 100 lbs of honey and honeycomb have been removed from the area around our fire place. Adding to that 60ish pounds or so from yesterday. YIKES! The bees love our house. We are hoping that it is the last of them but will stay ever vigilant from now on.
Just went to the doctor today, Baby P is doing great. His/her heartbeat is at 146 BPM. I also found out that I passed the 1 hour glucose test (woohoo!). I had to get a Rhogam shot because I have a negative blood type. It did not feel that good but hey, it's all worth it. I'm really looking forward to relaxing a bit when I get home from work....let's see if that'll really happen.
