Niner Niner to go

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy. ~babycenter.com How far along? 31 weeks (I'll be full term in less than 50 days...wowzas! - for those that don't know that means 37 weeks)
Total weight gain/loss: around a 30lbs so far...figure it'll be around 40ish when it's said and done considering it's hot and i love ice cream :o)
Maternity clothes? Some stuff is still comfy, others not so much
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: I've actually been sleeping pretty good this week...minus some CRAZY dreams.
Best moment this week: Friends and family time as usual.
Movement: Not only is Baby P kicking and punching, I now feel the rolling and repositioning...aka elbows and knees...fun.
Food cravings: Spicy stuff & ice cream. I've been wanting a corn dog for forever but have yet to give in.
Gender: Mostly boy with a slight chance of girl
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? still in but ever so shallow sometimes
What I miss: Not getting so out of breath when walking up the stairs or around in general & being able to really workout.
What I am looking forward to: Going to my childbirth prep class with Kyle on Saturday, even though I know Kyle will get sick. Also celebrating Father's day with my family on Sunday.
Weekly Wisdom: Walking the dogs in the morning is such a great way to start the day.
Milestones: Finally got "the" diaper bag (I think).

I had a bi-weekly doctor's appointment yesterday that went lovely. Baby P is doing good and the heartbeat was in the 130's. Hearing the little one's heart beat never gets old. I love it. My doctor said my weight gain, which was 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks, was a little over what they like to see (which is a pound a week). I told her it's hot and I like ice cream. No, I don't eat a lot of it but I tend to eat a little everyday. It's YUMMY! The way I figure it, I work out still at least 2 times a week at the gym lifting weights and walk the dogs 5+ times a week then I'll eat ice cream whenever I want :o) It all makes complete rational sense to me.

As I stated above, Kyle and I have our child birth prep class on Saturday. I'm 100% sure Kyle will feel very iffy during some of the discussions and video BUT I in no way think he won't be able to handle it come Baby P's birthday. I truly believe it's one thing to hear about it and another to be in the situation. I mean think about it, the big day....we arrive at the hospital, Kyle (being a good husband as always) is totally focused on if I'm comfortable, what I need, making calls, taking charge. The time comes where Baby P is ready to enter the world and Kyle still will be so focused on me and filled with adrenaline that I'm pretty sure he'll handle the delivery like a champ. And if he doesn't well he'll have a chair right by his knees ready to catch him. Either way, I won't be upset because that's how God made him.

I just can't believe we are just 2 months away from meeting our the littlest Pringle. Kyle and I like to talk about how things will change in the house. We both agree Cash and Dakota will totally clobber Baby P more than a few times. We are also sure they will be awesome with the baby.

I do need to get on my game and start washing everything...I still need to get the diapers ready by washing them one million times (ok not that many but it's a lot), wiping down the hand me down items, washing clothes, sheets, etc and finishing up Baby P's room (curtains, quilt, etc). I know it will all get done but my weekends are dwindling quickly along with my energy. I'm thinking once my "nesting" instinct kicks in I'll be ready to go!

So this weekend is child birth prep & father's day, next is an open weekend and then it's 4th of July weekend which means friend time and Florida family is in town to visit! I'm really quite excited. But then I'm just down to 6 more weekends to get the casa de Pringle ready for the kiddie.

OH last random thing, our house will finally be "completed" soon...the stairs are finally going to be finished up. We've had unfinished stairs since we've moved in because Kyle was having a hard time figuring out how to put the wood down (it's tricky!). Thankfully, mom and dad have opted to get someone to come in and complete it. Very excited.

Last week it was pictures with Calypso...this week is for the dogs. Update on Kyle...still super busy with school & work. He basically worked a full time job the last 2 weeks and went to school. Not to mention he kicks butt in school. I've said it before and I'll say it again, my husband is a very very very hard worker. He takes such great pride in everything he does and really doesn't settle...very proud wife :o) I kinda freak out about how we will make having a kid financially work but I know we will. God has provided above and beyond and it's silly for us to worry about how it will work out.
He's just a little bit stupid but is really excited to meet Baby P in 2 months.
