mama to a mango

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid. ~babycenter.com

Baby is growing and so is mama! I am really enjoying pregnancy right now. Aside from difficultly sleeping due to the leg cramping, hands that fall asleep (mostly at night) and tossing/turning....life has been great! I have noticed it's harder to just get up but I think it's because my center of balance has shifted and I have this little belly.

On Monday, I had my monthly doctor appointment and all is going great. Baby P's heartbeat was is the 140s BPM range, what an amazing sound. I was able to schedule the big level II ultrasound for this upcoming Monday. I am so excited and I can't wait to see the little one again.
Kyle and I had a wonderful weekend last week. Friday we were lucky enough to get 2 awesome tickets to see the Rockets game. We were sitting near center court just 12 rows up (including the court side seats) we felt like rock stars for sure. Holy cow Yao Ming is TALL! (I will post pictures soon) Saturday we got stuff done around the house then packed up the dogs and headed off to my folks to spend the night. It was so nice spending time with them without worrying about getting back home. My little brother and his girlfriend was also in town. On Sunday, we went to church, out to eat and in celebration of my dad's 60th birthday we went to see ZZ Top at the rodeo. It was a great show, these guys crack me up. What a great way to end a great weekend. We are planning a work day on the house this Saturday and Sunday we are heading to a friend's couple's shower/crawfish boil. I'm super excited about seeing friends and eating crawfish!
