Sweet Potato & Weekend Fun!

And now for the skill of the week (drum roll please…): The art of the yawn has been mastered by your baby (someone's sleepy!). In fact, you might catch a glimpse of that adorable yawn if you're getting an ultrasound this month. You'll also catch a glimpse of all the fetal movement your baby's doing — twists, rolls, kicks, and punches. And would you believe your baby is finally big enough for you to start feeling those movements now (or anytime in the next few weeks). So get ready!
~ What to Expect

On Friday, Kyle and I went to see Clint Black at the rodeo. It was cold and rainy but that didn't stop us. We met up with a bunch of our friend's (who had WAY better seats) in the middle of the Rodeo. After the show we were going but it was late by the time we got to the bar, still raining and we didn't want to pay for parking so we headed on home. Oh goodness, it was a rough night...around 1:30am we heard our Roomba make a sad noise, which mean it was caught up on something and basically shut down. I asked Kyle to just go set it on it's base and we'll restart it tomorrow. Much to our horror, the roomba broke down after muddin' in dog poop...UGH!!! It was the most nasty thing ever. I'll spare the details but many surfaces had to be cleaned and the roomba is still out in the garage because we didn't want to deal with it.

Saturday, we got up early and went to go check out a dresser I found on craigslist. It is actually pretty sweet and matches with the crib quite well. The lady selling the dresser and I were able to chit chat a bit while the boys were loading up the dresser, I guess she liked us because she offered us her entertainment center at no cost. It is so beautiful, Kyle and I were thrilled. Originally we were going to put it in the baby's room for storage however it will not fit through the doorway & hallway so it will be going in the living room where our china cabinet sits and the china cabinet will go into the baby's room for extra storage.
Shopping for baby didn't stop there. After many hours of stroller shopping, I finally found a stroller, B.O.B. Revolution, that I loved and was hoping Kyle would feel the same. We chose to go with a nice jogging stroller because Kyle and I are pretty active and are getting a great travel system with stroller & car seat from his cousin. A few simple facts that got Kyle stoked about the stroller, #1 we had to purchase it at R.E.I, #2 it has shocks with 3" of travel, #3 it's made by BOB, which make great bicycle trailers & #4 it comes in orange....he was sold. We went to check it out and it was pretty amazing and added bonus REI was running a sale so we got a great deal!

That night we babysat one of Kyle's buddies 12 month old girl. She was so sweet and it was a great glimpse of what life will be like in just a short time for Kyle and I.

Sunday, we had a very easy going lazy morning...skipping church because the cold rain was still falling. Later on that day we headed to Tommy & Maggie's house for some good old grilling and good times. AND my friend Deanna went into labor...she had her beautiful baby girl very early Monday morning. I can't wait to see pictures!

We had a wonderful weekend, but it went by way too fast! Next weekend should be a good one too. My dad will be celebrating his 60th birthday and we are going to ZZ Top at the rodeo.

Sarah, I cannot wait til you meet your little one. I never believed in love at first sight until Monday, March 16th at 3:37 in the morning. Stick with the surprise factor ... the "it's a.." moment was one that will remain in our hearts and memories FOREVER. You guys are going to be fantastic parents and I can't wait to give you a little practice with Presley. :)
